This project is special in that it is located on a very small plot of land, but despite its narrow location, the layout of the apartments is ambitious, especially for the inflow of natural light. Each apartment has a view of several sides of the sky, rooms are always exposed to the sun. Next to the house is a wonderful oak, which we definitely wanted to keep, because it helps to create a special atmosphere in the apartments.

Between the centuries-old houses of national romanticism and the art deco, in the corner of Zaube and Veseta streets since the autumn of 2004, the ten-apartment residential house designed by Meinhard von Gerkan has settled. The building was built on a comparatively small plot of land - only 470 m². For the façade and indoor painting, a light tone is chosen. The courtyard of the building is shared with the adjacent house, surrounded by a ranch and partly enclosed by a glass roof from the surrounding world.
The building has both an elevator and a threaded staircase, which is a handwriting feature of architect Meinhard von Gerkan. The structural part of the stairs is made of metal, the steps are made of wood. The round staircase is surrounded by apartments overlooking both the towers of the center of Riga and the industrial landscape of the harbor. Modernist details in the building are quite neutral and do not break down the building itself. On the ground floor of the building there are store premises, but from the second to the sixth floor there are ten spacious apartments of 119 m² and 135 m².
